Zentara Office Interior Design in Serpong: High-Tech Security Meets Human-Centric Luxury

As Serpong continues to develop into one of Greater Jakarta’s key commercial and business destinations, workplace design is evolving alongside it. Today’s corporate offices are no longer defined solely by desks, meeting rooms, and functional circulation. They are increasingly expected to communicate a company’s identity, support employee well-being, accommodate sophisticated technology, and provide an environment capable of hosting clients and business partners.
The Zentara Headquarters at BAIC Tower, Serpong, designed by INSADA Integrated Design Team, explores this evolving definition of the modern workplace. Completed in 2025, the approximately 550 sqm office interior brings together two seemingly contrasting environments: a futuristic, technology-driven operational workplace and a refined, hospitality-inspired executive environment.
Designed by INSADA: Decades of Experience in Indonesian Architecture and Interior Design
The project is part of INSADA Integrated Design Team’s extensive portfolio of architecture and interior design projects across Indonesia. Established in 1990, INSADA brings more than three decades of professional experience to projects spanning corporate offices, commercial developments, hospitality, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use environments.
With more than 200 completed and developed projects, the practice approaches each interior as part of a broader architectural and business strategy rather than as an isolated exercise in aesthetics. This experience is particularly relevant to specialized workplaces such as Zentara Headquarters, where interior design must respond simultaneously to operational requirements, technology, corporate identity, user comfort, and client experience.
For INSADA, office interior design is not simply about creating an attractive workplace. It is about understanding how people, technology, brand, and architecture interact within a specific business environment. The Zentara project demonstrates this approach by combining a high-performance Security Operations Center and operational workspace with executive and hospitality areas designed to provide a distinctly more relaxed experience.
The result is an office designed not simply as a place to work, but as a physical expression of Zentara’s focus on intelligence, security, innovation, and premium client experience.
A Dual-Character Approach to Office Interior Design
The central design strategy for the Zentara Headquarters is based on a deliberate contrast between two spatial identities.
The first is the operational core, comprising the reception, Security Operations Center (SOC), War Room, and private acoustic booths. Here, the interior adopts a futuristic and Mars-inspired visual language, using metallic surfaces, crimson accents, integrated lighting, and technologically focused workstations.
The second is the executive and hospitality zone, where the atmosphere shifts toward the character of a private members’ club. Rich timber, marble, leather, dark finishes, and warm ambient lighting create a more intimate setting for executive meetings, dining, entertainment, and client hospitality.
Rather than treating these spaces as unrelated interiors, INSADA uses materiality, lighting, and spatial transitions to create a cohesive workplace experience.
The Mars-Inspired Operational Hub
At the heart of the office is a series of spaces designed around Zentara’s technology and security-driven operations.
The visual inspiration draws from the landscape and atmosphere of Mars, interpreted through contemporary architectural materials rather than literal theming. Crimson tones reference the planet’s distinctive terrain, while brushed metal, glass, and integrated illumination introduce a sense of precision and advanced technology.
Lobby and Reception
The reception establishes the design language immediately upon arrival.
A large feature wall incorporates a glowing crimson graphic inspired by Martian terrain, accompanied by Zentara’s brand statement, “Intelligence, Security, Innovation.” The feature becomes both a branding element and a visual anchor for the entrance.
Opposite it, a custom brushed-metal reception desk incorporates integrated LED lighting and sits against textured acoustic wall panels. The combination of reflective metal and softer architectural finishes creates a balance between technological precision and human comfort.
Warm wood-grain flooring introduces another layer of contrast. Bold red perimeter runners reinforce the project’s visual identity while subtly directing visitors toward the operational areas beyond the reception.
The result is an entrance that communicates the nature of Zentara’s business without relying on conventional corporate-office aesthetics.
Security Operations Center: Designing for Focus and Performance
The Security Operations Center (SOC) is the functional and visual nerve center of the workplace. Unlike a conventional office, a security operations environment requires employees to maintain prolonged visual attention across multiple digital displays while communicating and responding to constantly changing information.
INSADA’s interior approach therefore focuses on ergonomics, sightlines, lighting control, and visual connectivity.
Custom angular command desks are arranged in a tiered configuration, allowing operators to maintain clear sightlines toward the central video wall. The brushed-metal workstation language continues the futuristic character established at the reception.
Above the workstations, a large diffused ceiling light provides soft, even illumination. The surrounding timber framing introduces warmth while helping prevent the space from feeling overly technical or clinical.
Full-height glass partitions connect the SOC visually with adjacent executive meeting spaces. This transparency allows the operational environment to remain visible as an important part of Zentara’s identity, while acoustic separation helps ensure that focused work can continue without unnecessary disruption.
This balance between visual transparency and acoustic privacy is increasingly important in contemporary office interior design, particularly for workplaces combining collaborative and high-concentration activities.
War Room and Private Acoustic Booths
Adjacent to the SOC is the War Room, conceived as a dedicated environment for strategic discussions and high-level decision-making.
A substantial timber conference table forms the centerpiece, equipped with integrated power and connectivity. High-backed ergonomic leather chairs reinforce the room’s formal character while providing comfort during extended meetings.
The War Room also maintains a direct visual relationship with the SOC through transparent glass walls. This creates a strong connection between strategic decision-making and the operational environment, reinforcing the technology-focused identity of the company.
For more private conversations, individual acoustic booths provide enclosed spaces for phone calls and focused communication. Vibrant red acoustic fabric, integrated work surfaces, and ergonomic active-seating stools create compact work environments that address both acoustic privacy and user comfort.
Together, these spaces demonstrate how a specialized security workplace can remain highly functional without becoming visually austere.
The Executive Lounge: A Private Members’ Club
The atmosphere changes significantly as users move into the executive lounge and entertainment areas.
Here, the technological character of the operational zones gives way to a more luxurious and residential-inspired interior. The design draws from the atmosphere of an exclusive private members’ club, creating a setting suitable for executive meetings, informal discussions, dining, and client hospitality.
Marble, Timber, and the Social Lounge
The bar becomes the focal point of the lounge.
A backlit marble counter introduces a sophisticated material presence, complemented by warm timber and minimalist leather bar stools. Integrated cabinetry provides display space while maintaining a clean architectural composition.
Above, a dark coffered ceiling incorporates mirror elements and concealed perimeter lighting. The layered ceiling treatment adds depth and creates a more intimate atmosphere than the brighter operational spaces.
Furniture further reinforces the hospitality character. Deep leather sofas, textured armchairs, and polished stone coffee tables create a comfortable environment for informal conversations and social interaction.
This transition from technology-focused workplace to hospitality environment is intentional. It allows the office to serve different modes of use throughout the day—from concentrated security operations to executive meetings and client entertainment.
Private Executive Suite
The private executive suite continues the members’ club concept while providing greater flexibility for formal and informal gatherings.
A custom timber coffered ceiling creates a strong architectural identity, while acoustic wall treatments help control sound within the room. Integrated high-quality audio equipment supports presentations, entertainment, and private meetings.
At the center of the room, a large white marble table can function both as a dining surface and a meeting table. Plush upholstered armchairs soften the formal geometry of the space and provide a more residential level of comfort.
The result is an environment capable of shifting between board-level discussions, client hospitality, private dining, and informal executive interaction.
Office Interior Design in Serpong and the Growth of Greater Jakarta
The Zentara Headquarters also reflects the broader transformation of Serpong and the Tangerang area into an increasingly important commercial destination within Greater Jakarta.
With established business districts and developments surrounding BSD City, Gading Serpong, and Alam Sutera, the area has become an attractive location for companies seeking contemporary commercial infrastructure outside Jakarta’s traditional central business districts.
For technology-oriented businesses, the quality of the workplace environment is particularly important. Modern office developments can provide the infrastructure required for sophisticated digital operations, while the surrounding commercial ecosystem offers access to retail, hospitality, residential developments, and supporting services.
For architects and interior designers, this creates an opportunity to rethink what a corporate workplace in Serpong can represent.
Designing the Future Workplace
The Zentara Headquarters demonstrates that high-performance office design does not have to sacrifice comfort or hospitality.
By separating the workplace into distinct but interconnected spatial characters, INSADA created an interior that responds to the different demands of a technology and security-oriented company. The operational areas prioritize concentration, visibility, ergonomics, and technological infrastructure, while the executive spaces introduce warmth, luxury, and hospitality.
The contrast between Mars-inspired technology zones and private-club-inspired executive spaces ultimately strengthens the identity of the project. Each environment has a distinct purpose, yet both communicate the same underlying values of intelligence, security, innovation, and sophistication.
For INSADA, the project represents an approach to office interior design in Serpong that goes beyond conventional corporate aesthetics. It demonstrates how workplace interiors can become strategic tools—supporting operational performance, expressing brand identity, and creating memorable experiences for employees, executives, and visitors.
As Serpong continues to grow as a commercial center in Greater Jakarta, projects such as the Zentara Headquarters point toward a new generation of Indonesian workplaces: technologically advanced, human-centered, and designed with the experience of the user at the center.
