In 2026, INSADA Integrated Design Team is proud to once again partner with Vasanta Group on the interior design of the new Neira Type Show Unit at Shila Southbank at Sawangan, Depok, West Java. Located within the Southbank precinct, the Neira Type is the latest premium cluster—and the final addition—to the Lake Series at Shila at Sawangan.
Designed for contemporary families, the Neira Type demonstrates how thoughtful residential interior design in Depok can combine modern luxury, practical family living, and a warm tropical character. From conceptual design and design development through to detailed construction monitoring, INSADA developed the complete interior design to transform the two-story residence into an immersive show unit that communicates a clear lifestyle proposition to prospective homeowners.
Occupying a 128 sqm land plot with a total built-up area of 137 sqm, the Neira Type accommodates four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The design balances the functional demands of family living with the visual expectations of a premium property show unit, demonstrating how luxury interior design in Depok can combine sophisticated aesthetics with practical, everyday family living.
For INSADA, the project was not simply about making a house visually impressive. The objective was to demonstrate how interior architecture, material selection, bespoke joinery, lighting, and spatial planning can work together to create a premium residential environment that feels sophisticated while remaining comfortable for everyday family life.

Luxury Interior Design in Depok for Modern Family Living
The design concept for the Neira Type Show Unit is centered on warm luxury and tropical serenity.
Rather than relying on an overly ornate interpretation of luxury, INSADA developed a restrained and contemporary material palette. Warm grey flooring establishes visual continuity across the principal living areas, beginning at the entry foyer and extending through the living, dining, and kitchen spaces before continuing into the upper-floor circulation areas.
The neutral foundation is layered with tactile materials and carefully controlled accents to introduce depth and sophistication. Key materials include:
Warm bronze and metallic accents, incorporated into cabinetry details, lighting fixtures, and architectural framing.
Fluted glass, providing visual separation and privacy while maintaining natural light transmission between spaces.
Calacatta-style veined marble, used selectively on feature walls, kitchen surfaces, backsplashes, and the central island.
High-gloss wood veneer and HPL finishes, bringing warmth, contrast, and a refined residential character to the bespoke millwork.
The resulting palette creates a balance between contemporary elegance and a softer, more organic atmosphere—an approach particularly suited to modern family homes in the Greater Jakarta residential market.

Entry Foyer: Creating a Sense of Arrival
The entrance establishes the design language immediately.
A floor-to-ceiling fluted glass partition framed in dark timber creates an informal spatial buffer between the entry and the main living area. Rather than closing off the foyer, the translucent partition allows light to pass through while introducing a subtle layer of privacy.
A contemporary leather-clad credenza sits alongside custom HPL timber paneling and curated artwork, giving the entrance a deliberate architectural composition. The combination of timber, glass, metal, and artwork creates a welcoming transition from the exterior into the home's main social spaces.
This approach demonstrates one of the project's central principles: even compact transitional spaces can contribute significantly to the perceived quality of a residential interior when their proportions, materials, lighting, and furniture are carefully coordinated.

Double-Height Living Room as the Architectural Focal Point
The living room forms the visual and spatial centerpiece of the Neira Type residence.
A dramatic double-height void creates a greater sense of volume and allows the living space to become a defining architectural feature within the two-story house. INSADA used this vertical dimension to develop a custom TV wall that extends upward through the double-height space, reinforcing the relationship between the ground and upper floors.
The composition incorporates an abstract artwork panel framed with tinted mirrors, integrated open display shelves with ambient backlighting, and a cluster of organic-shaped glass pendant lights suspended from the high ceiling.
Furniture and soft furnishings complement the architectural composition. A neutral-toned sofa is paired with biophilic-inspired textured cushions, a cognac leather accent chair, and a black marble coffee table. Together, these elements soften the strong architectural geometry while reinforcing the project's warm contemporary aesthetic.

Integrated Kitchen and Dining: Luxury Through Spatial Efficiency
The kitchen and dining area is conceived as an open-plan entertaining zone, reflecting the way contemporary families increasingly use their homes for both everyday living and social interaction.
One of the key design moves is the integration of the marble-clad kitchen island with the dining table. This creates a continuous visual and functional element while reducing unnecessary circulation and maximizing usable floor area.
Two different marble patterns subtly distinguish the cooking and dining functions without physically separating them. Above the cooking area, high-gloss dark wood veneer forms a strong horizontal element while concealing the integrated range hood within the cabinetry.
The dining zone is framed by a distinctive wave-like LED chandelier. Combined with indirect cove lighting, the lighting strategy creates a layered atmosphere that transitions naturally from daytime family use to evening entertaining.
The result is a kitchen and dining space that functions efficiently while maintaining the visual impact expected of a premium residential show unit.

Private Bedrooms Designed Around Different Lifestyles
The upper floor shifts to warm-toned SPC wood flooring, creating a more intimate and comfortable atmosphere for the private quarters.
Rather than applying one uniform bedroom design, INSADA developed individual interiors based on different family profiles. This approach allows prospective homeowners to imagine how the residence can adapt to different personalities, ages, and lifestyles.
Son's Bedroom: Contemporary and Masculine
The son's bedroom adopts a sophisticated light-grey palette with contemporary detailing. A built-in platform bed incorporates under-bed LED lighting, while an extended floating study desk provides a dedicated workspace.
Backlit monochromatic artwork and an industrial-inspired open display rack introduce additional character without overwhelming the room. The result is a bedroom that combines sleeping, studying, and personal display within a compact footprint.

Daughter's Bedroom: Creative, Playful, and Functional
The daughter's bedroom introduces a softer pink palette and a more expressive atmosphere. Designed as a combination of study space, gaming area, and personal retreat, the room integrates storage and lighting into the overall composition.
The design demonstrates how a residential bedroom can serve multiple functions without compromising visual cohesion or comfort.

Master Bedroom: A Sophisticated Private Retreat
The master suite adopts a deeper and richer palette, creating a more restful and sophisticated atmosphere.
Textured wallpaper establishes the feature wall, while warm bedside pendant lights provide softer ambient illumination. The bedroom connects directly to an integrated walk-in wardrobe with a dedicated vanity table, creating a continuous private suite leading toward the ensuite bathroom.
This interconnected planning strategy allows the master bedroom to operate as more than simply a sleeping space. It becomes a complete private retreat within the home.

Luxury Bathrooms with a Residential Resort Feel
The bathrooms continue the home's contemporary luxury language through a darker and more tactile material palette.
Full-height dark grey stone-look tiles establish a dramatic backdrop, complemented by marble vanity countertops and semi-recessed basins. Warm timber accents and floating cabinetry prevent the darker finishes from feeling overly heavy.
Backlit mirror panels provide both functional illumination and ambient lighting, reinforcing the project's subtle residential resort character.

Interior Design That Supports the Developer's Sales Strategy
For a property developer, a successful show unit needs to achieve more than aesthetic appeal. It must help potential buyers understand how a property can support their future lifestyle.
This was a key consideration in INSADA's approach to the Neira Type Show Unit at Shila at Sawangan.
The design uses the architecture's double-height living space as a memorable focal point, while the integrated kitchen and dining area demonstrates efficient family living. Individually designed bedrooms allow different generations and personalities to identify with the home, while the carefully coordinated material palette establishes a consistent premium identity throughout the residence.
The project demonstrates how strategic interior design for property developers can strengthen the presentation and perceived value of a residential development. A show unit is ultimately a storytelling device: it translates floor plans and specifications into an emotional experience that allows prospective buyers to imagine themselves living in the space.
